greetings release “untitled one (feat. maebe)”

daniel fondue (née carr) is at it again, folks. last month, his project greetings dropped “K.I.E.”, with its cool, shimmering beats and altered states of consciousness. this week, greetings shared “untitled one (feat. maebe)”, and while it is a stylistic curveball (this one gets close to being psych-folk at times, if you can believe it!), it still feels very much like a greetings song. it’s hazy and intangible, just like the wind*. the track features frequent-collaborator maebe on backup harmonies, with fondue handling everything else: guitar, lead vox, bass, and drums.

given that “untitled one” is described on bandcamp as the “may single”, could it be possible we have a june single coming down the pike as well? greetings and funnybone records are being coy about the upcoming surprises.  CT Scramble covered some of the goings-on last month.

what’s great about both of these tracks is that they aren’t your standard sunny summer tunes. just like the greetings ep, these songs feel like a shiver on a cool autumn morning. check “untitled one” below, or stream it on the usual platforms, and also take a look at the video for “K.I.E.”, which includes a ton of CT local artists.

*yeah, that’s right — this music writer is peeping the lyrics too.
