‘the quarantined series’ brings you live music without all the standing around and wondering what to do with your hands

the “CT Original Musicians-Master List” on facebook is a large conservatory of ct music conversation, with rotating discussions about playing live, making music, and whatever else musicians like to talk about (tuning, i guess).  one of the admins of the group, Sarah Golley, is now organizing a great new run of events called “The Quarantined Series“.  it is, as you might have guessed, a response to the covid-19 preventative measures that are strangling musicians’ livelihoods (both creatively and monetarily).  the premise is simple: ct musicians perform live from their homes, and you watch the stream, donating what you can in return.  that’s right: it’s a live show, except you don’t have to worry about setting your drink down to clap after each song.  and honestly, if you’re just watching alone at home, you probably don’t have to clap at all, or it might be kinda weird.  i don’t know.  you do you, i guess.

anyways, Golley has organized a great list of performances so far.  as of this writing, you can prepare for: [these are links that will take you directly to the facebook event page where you can learn more about how to tune in]
