Very-cool band and very-cool people, Pocket Vinyl have just launched a kickstarter to support the second volume of The Touring Test. If you’re not so familiar with Pocket Vinyl or The Touring Test, then you dear reader are in for a treat. Pocket Vinyl is the piano-and-live-art duo from the Norwich area, who craft incredibly catchy alt-piano-pop tunes while also creating a piece of visual art during their shows. (See this video for an idea!) Elizabeth Jancewicz (the one not slamming on the piano) also runs an awesome web comic called The Touring Test, which documents and satirizes the life of a touring independent artist. If you are reading this — an article on a blog that covers indie music and promotes itself on social media with memes — then yes, it is definitely up your alley.

The kickstarter drive will only be open until September 10, and it’s already funded, so use this time to reserve some of those awesome perks, like digital / physical copies of the book or pieces of original artwork. The band recently ran a mini-tour through upstate New York, so be sure to follow them on social media to hear first about their upcoming shows.
