premiere: bajzelle lose their minds in vermont in their new video for “trying”

Ah yes, a man losing his mind and lashing out at loved ones after being cooped up for too long.  Now you may think that I am describing the inevitable outcome of visiting my family for the 4th of July, but no!  No, Dear Reader, I’m talking about Bajzelle’s new video for “Trying”.  The song is the first single ahead of their upcoming debut album, Enjoy.  If you didn’t get a chance to see them play live before The Corona, now’s your chance to get a good look at their beautiful faces before you hear the album.  Check out the video embedded below.

“Trying” was shot/directed by Kicker Pictures, the same team that brought you those great recent Ports of Spain and S.G. Carlson videos.  It features a great heap of cabin fever and ultraviolence.  But you know, in a fun way.  It was shot while the Bridgeport-based band recorded an upcoming album, and if the video is any indication, their creative process is… dangerous.  Let this be a clear message to bands: this is what happens when you leave Connecticut! And similar to the fun/rampaging video, the song is a melody-heavy tune you’ll want to sing along with — gleefully, even! — over melancholy lyrics. The song (and upcoming album) was mastered by Sans Serif Recordings.  Enjoy will be out this Friday, June 26th.  You can pre-order it now on Bandcamp.

Damn, I miss the snow.  Poor Jeff Wickun; he never saw it coming.
