meriden psych-rock trio King Bongo bring you three songs from their practice space via the ZH1 Sessions. of the three songs, two are new (“innerspeak” and “cigarette”), so you’ll want to check this video out even if you are a King Bongo stan already. the session is energetic and fun to watch. and is it fuzzy? you gat-damn rite it’s fuzzy. it’s just the right proportion of snappy melodies and psychedelic freakouts.
the King Bongo boys (cody altieri on vox/drums; henry tobelman on vox/guitar; max spurr on bass) just finished a spate of live shows (including opening for BRONCHO [!!!]), but if i had to guess, we’ll be seeing more of them very soon. smiling emoji. hashtag we see you rep’ing laura palmer, max.
