ah, it feels like summer punkfest was just yesterday. let’s close out the summer properly this weekend at the 3-day ct punkfest. it’s at cherry street station in wallingford this friday (8/23), saturday (8/24), and sunday (8/25). a lot of great bands are playing (like 7-9 a day), including New Years Revolution! this will be their (i think) second show of the year, so you’ll want to catch them on friday’s line-up. you can find the full line-up information at the links posted at the bottom of this post or at the facebook event pages for each day.
along with the live event, you are invited to check out the freshly-released Die Hipster! Records compilation. it’s free (but it’d be nice if you pitched in a few bucks) and 20-tracks long, with a lot of bands that you’ll love. quick test: can you go wrong with sonorous rising? answer: you cannot. so hit that link below and check out their song “propagande par le fait” an 19 other bands, most of them based in connecticut!
