holy shit. that’s a lot of great music and fellowship, but that’s also a lot of time and energy the space’s organizers have put into keeping NG2BC my favorite new haven DIY space. if you’ve never been, NG2BC is a well-run, friendly, safe space that features a lot of cool live music. it’s become a nice stop for touring bands as well, so you’ll get to see not only (a) local bands/artists you know and love, (b) local bands/artists you haven’t heard of yet but will love, and (c) touring bands that you don’t get to see often. it’s operated by the band spit-take (and part jenny genius), so if you see them around, congratulate them (and thank them) for their 100th show!
