i love the smell of Crag Mask in the morning. they just released a new song! “Amethyst” is the single the band hinted at on a recent interview with a tremendously well-respected blog. as they mentioned, it’s a different direction than what you’d hear on Bend. “Amethyst” is a little softer, riding a sweet groove instead of the more knotted arrangements of songs like “Stainer” and “Secret Plane”. notably, it’s the first recording with the new line-up (with Shyanne Horner on keys/vox and Quinn Pririe on drums). i’ve been saying it since Crag Mask 3.0 formed, but Horner’s backing vocals are their new secret weapon, and you can hear that on this single.
so how about you stop being so goddamned stingy and add it to your spotify playlists already???
