chousand announce new album, GARY, and new single: “don’t forget the beers” (guess what it’s about)

for the past month, emo pranksters CHOUSAND have been teasing us with fake artwork for their upcoming EP GARY.  and today, they’ve released the first single from that collection: “Don’t Forget The Beers”.  the single’s artwork depicts a bonfire, and that is as a hip literature professor would tell you, a metaphor, because the song is fucking fire.  the song comes with a completely nuts video, directed by Julian Focareta (who also directed the “D.O.M.” video too).  check it out below.

GARY comes out everywhere on leap-day, 2/29/20, so be sure to bookmark their bandcamp page (“Don’t Forget the Beers” is already there!). i don’t think the band will read this far down, so i will tell you a little secret. they sent me a private stream of GARY, and it is so good. “Don’t Forget the Beers” isn’t even the best song on it, if you can believe it! the EP was engineered and mixed by Sean-Paul Pillsworth and John Naclerio (who also mastered it). so anyway, check out the song and get ready to throw your money down for the full EP because CHOUSAND releases, like leap-day, only come around every several years. haha, got ’em.

the GARY release show will be at the Shamrock pub in Waterbury (it’s right off of i84) with Cheem, Mighty Tortuga, and Mandala. 3/14/2020.
