on november 1st, Fleurs will release Shut Up, the project’s second full-length album, following last year’s excellent Life of the Appetite. ahead of its release, i was able to catch up with Fleurs’ songwriter, Alex Falconer, to talk about the new album, his songwriting philosophy, and purging the darker elements of his personality with music.
and if all of that is somehow not good enough for you, the interview ends with the debut of “Louvre”, a new song from Shut Up. it happens to be (perhaps) my favorite track on the album, so i’m excited for you to hear it and let me know what you think. the song, like the album, is full of surprises — i want you to go in fresh, so i won’t spoil it for you.
