Jason Rule has a new band! Autopoet is a collaboration between Rule and Rex Thurstan of Eel People and Litvar. I invited Rule onto the podcast to talk about Autopoet, who just released their debut single “Unhealthy Exchanges”, with a full-length album set for Februrary 2021 called The Nightlife Has Changed You. Jason is currently a member of ctverses-favorites Queen Moo and Zanders, and he has previously recorded with other bands you know and love like Crag Mask, Two Humans, Sorority Noise, and Fung Wah Bus.

We also talked about Rule’s perspective on music, and how that’s shaped the way he writes, records, and releases music in 2020. Want to know about the making of Queen Moo’s Faint Sounds of Us Hanging Out? Need to hear about the inventive drum sounds on Zanders’ Concentration Sixty-Four? Or interested to know what Jason thinks should be on our bucket lists? Saddle up pardner, and join me on this audio interview adventure.

You can find our episode embedded below or anywhere you normally get your podcasts! Spotify recently told us that our ctverses audio interviews has grown over 900% in listenership in 2020 (holy shit). If you’re a new listener, be sure to also check out our back catalog — find a band you love, or a band you will love soon!
