were you at the Space Ballroom on May 10th to see Boyscott and Bad Bad Hats? if you were, you probably caught Similar Kind’s release show, in which they absolutely blew the roof off the place. to celebrate the release of their debut EP, Faces & Places, the band ripped through a half-hour of dance-ready synth-pop. equal parts R&B, pop, and indie rock, the EP is a highly-polished, thoroughly-confident release that, as the band puts it, are “tunes for you and your mom to listen to.”
