hartford’s own funnybone records is having an incredible year.  you remember that fantastic waveform* record from march?  that glambat/snowpiler split back in may?  those cromulent greetings singles?  that’s all funybone.  and they’re getting ready for another big release, this time by bebé machete, with their new record there is not a metaphor that can contain.  we’ve already been given two singles ahead of the record, to give you a taste of the electropoppoetry machete makes.  to kick the summer off right, the label is hosting a summer showcase on june 30th at the wherehouse in hartford.  the event will not only serve as the release show for bebé machete’s new album, but it’ll also feature labelmates kelly quigley and samuel sandoval.

but, wait for one second.  just look at that line-up.  that’s good stuff.  part folk, part pop, part electronic — it promises to be an exciting and intimate show.

given that funnybone’s announcement mentions that this is the “first show of our 2019 summer series”, we can expect more shows to come!  and given their impressive roster, any combination of artists they announce will be a can’t-miss show.  unless you have a family emergency, then i guess you can miss it, but i want you to seriously consider what you’re doing when you make that decision.
