This episode we talk with Olive Tiger, the New Haven trio (Olive, Jesse Newman, and John McGrath) and one of ct verses’s all-time-faves.  If you aren’t familiar with Olive Tiger, please introduce yourself soon — their rotating mix of cello / violin / synth / guitar / drums is pure wonder-pop.  The band just released a new single (“The Boys”), and it is their first peek from a trio of new EPs that will be released over the next several months.  Yes, that is cause for celebration!  The band decided to release the track now before the 11/3 election for reasons they explain on the podcast.  Or maybe I should phrase that in a clickbait way to encourage you to listen: You WON’T Believe What Inspired Olive Tiger’s New Song.  We talked about their new music, playing live with Dirty Projectors, and their best and worst Halloween costumes. The phrase “Edgar Allen Ho” appears more than once in this episode.

You can find Olive Tiger’s music everywhere, but if you can, buy their stuff on Bandcamp. Be sure to follow them on social media so that you can get info about their new EPs and other special events. For example, last week, they streamed a beautiful live session on Twitch with the label Fake Four, and before then, they were broadcasting these super cool music meditation improvisations. Follow them (https://www.olivetiger.net) so that you don’t miss out on stuff like that!
