This episode is a longform conversation with the New Haven by-way-of Bridgeport emcee Siul Hughes. Hughes just released an album this year called “HUEMAN” on the record label Fake Four Inc, and we’ve been spinning it ever since it came out. And he has a new collaborative 7″ split with Ceschi called “DRKWLKR”; we talked about that a little bit in our recent podcast episode with Ceschi — you may remember Siul Hughes came up quite a bit in that interview too. You can find his music on bandcamp, spotify, and anywhere else you get your music. You can also get some great merch from his personal website at seallhues.com.  Don’t tell me you don’t want a Siul Hughes face mask.

We had a great conversation about HUEMAN, what makes music “genuine”, and how each record he makes is a photo-album of his life. It’s probably the most deep we’ve gotten on this podcast, but don’t worry, we got jokes too. One quick warning before we get into it, my microphone was turned a bit low in this one, so you may notice that at first.

You can find our interview anywhere you get your podcasts, or check out the embeds below!
