if you weren’t able to make it to a gig last week, i’ve got three video series for you.  now, if you want to achieve the full effect of going to a gig, here’s what i want you to do.  turn on these videos, stand up, take a few steps backs, go ahead and cross your arms, then start bobbing your head up and down.  if you can, have a few friends hang out in the back of the room whispering a little bit too loud about something, and between videos, head outside for a quick smoke break.  treat yourself to these videos featuring Kim Normal, Evelyn Gray, Sullust, and The Most!

Kim Normal: On Your Own Wave Release Show live at the Amity Teen Center
Kim Normal’s new record, On Your Own Wave is an alt-rock explosion. Chock-full of cool riffs and killer grooves, the album feels like a playlist of ’90s rock chart-toppers that you’ve somehow never heard. it’s what radio should be. this video covers their half-hour-of-power at the album’s release show.

Evelyn Gray: Full Set live at the Valdosta GA DIY House
one of our very favorites, Evelyn Gray toured across the country a few months ago. their new album, Let The Flower Grow, is stellar, and their live show is no different. if you haven’t been able to make it to a live show, i can’t express how much you’re missing. take a look at this stop at the Valdosta DIY House.

Sullust: “Tridosha” and “Acceptance” live from Axe Eater Studios
last week i told you about the new video series by Axe Eater; so far, we’ve gotten a series on Doom Beach, and now we’ve got Sullust, the doom metal band from Bethel, CT. here, they play two killer songs, the two final tracks from this year’s Patience is Resistance.

The Most: “First Frost”, “Five-Point-Palm-Exploding-Heart-Technique”, and “And They Did Go By” live from 1880 in MA.
Video maestro Sleeper Radio is doing the lord’s work. a few weeks ago, he captured a Crag Mask set, and now he’s uploaded everyone’s favorite “mathy” ensemble, The Most. they recently performed their tour-homecoming show at the State House in New Haven, and if you missed out on that, they’ll be at an upcoming show at Mac 650 with Perspective a Lovely Hand to Hold and Holy Pinto!

i hope you like these videos! and if you do, let’s go to a gig in CT soon! check the gig calendar for ones near you!
